ASAP! Click here to fill out the form. Please confirm your attendance by November 23th.
You can book your hotel room as soon as you RSVP. To reserve your room email: operaciones@lasislas.com.co.
We have a room block for the entire resort (pricing will not increase and there’s enough space for everyone). Bungalows come in two formats (treetop with jacuzzi and sea-level with pool) and room selection will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.
As a token of our gratitude for coming such a long way, we’ve covered 1-night of your stay. Once you’ve made your room selection and provided the requisite information, you’ll receive a quote and payment link.
*To benefit from the room block, please contact the hotel via email. The pricing on the website does not reflect pricing via room block. The only way to book is via email.
**The hotel will require a full name, passport or ID number. This is standard practice in Colombia and required by law.
***If you plan to attend the wedding single, please contact Kyle or Maria, respectively, to verify room allocation and/or roommate assignment.
In short, yes. There are two reasons: one personal, the other pragmatic.
We’ve carefully designed our wedding weekend to be an intimate gathering of our friends and family from across the globe. We wanted to create a welcoming environment filled with serendipity and connection. We’re thrilled that the people closest to us, from every phase of our lives, will have an opportunity to meet and celebrate at our private island escape. Don’t be strangers – everyone you see will be there for the wedding!
Practically speaking, Hotel Las Islas is the only place to stay. The nearest hotel is 45mins away and transportation late at night is virtually non-existent. Staying on-resort means more time to enjoy the surroundings and good company with the added benefit that your longest commute is via golf cart from sunset drinks to dinner.
*We ask that all guests plan to stay both Friday and Saturday nights. Arriving on Saturday in time for the wedding ceremony will be a time crunch to say the least. Wouldn’t you prefer a calm walk to the ceremony?
Checkout is at Noon, but we’ve confirmed with the hotel that you are free to relax and enjoy the facilities if you have a later flight. There are showers and changing rooms at your disposal.
Yes – this is entirely possible! The bride and groom will be onsite for a few days before and after the wedding weekend and all are welcome to join the fun pre/post-celebration.
*If you plan to extend your stay, we recommend booking early as it is high season and availability may disappear quickly!
**No need to book separately through the website — simply reserve your entire stay via email with Hotel Las Islas under a single reservation.
Our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this allows everyone to relax and fully enjoy the festivities with us.
For guests with infants, we understand that travel can be challenging. Babies are welcome provided they share a room with you (cribs available), as we are not able to host additional caregivers. The hotel can assist with arranging babysitting services during the festivities should you need support during the weekend.
Yes! Hotel Las Islas has tons of activities to choose from. Enjoy the private pools and beaches, visit the spa, sign up for yoga and meditation sessions, snorkel or hydrofoil off the coast.
Barú has a hot and humid tropical climate year-round. You can expect daytime temperatures between 92°F and 99°F (34–37°C), with nighttime lows around 74°F to 77°F (23–25°C).
Dress Codes for each event are listed on the Schedule; it will be hot and humid so we recommend lightweight dresses, linen suits and resort-wear.
For outfit inspiration we’ve put together the following lookbooks:
First things first, there's no need to worry! While Colombia experienced a violent period in the 90s, it has since transformed into a vibrant, thriving destination where tourism is booming, yet its authenticity remains beautifully preserved.
If you're only joining for the wedding weekend (no additional travel before or after), everything on the resort is completely secure and you'll be exclusively among our friends and family. As with any travel destination, a few common-sense rules apply: avoid accepting offers from strangers, don’t flaunt large amounts of cash in public, and keep an eye on your personal belongings. As Colombians say, "don’t give papaya" (“no des papaya”)—a local expression meaning don’t make yourself an easy target.
For extra peace of mind, please only use Uber to move around big cities rather than public taxis or book transportation directly with your hotels as in small cities taxis tend to charge you more once they know you are a tourist. Also, Uber is way cheaper than taxis and you can pretty much get anywhere for around 10EUR or less. Fun fact: Uber operates in some cities despite being technically illegal. For cheaper options like "UberX," drivers will always ask you to sit in the front to avoid police attention. With "Comfort" or "Premium," sitting in the back is fine.
